Phew!

Okay, so I obviously already failed at the whole "30 Days of Creative Writing" goodness, but sometimes life just gets in the way!  Things have been a little cray-cray but in a happy, positive way.  I've found a few apartments that have piqued my interest, and it looks like the big move will officially be happening the end of September/beginning of October.  There are still a lot of logistics to go through (not to mention all of the cleaning an packing... Oy vey...), but I'm feeling extremely confident, and I feel insanely blessed by the support group that I have.  There are good things about to happen, and I'm feeling great about what is happening in my life!

I also found out that I'm 15 credits away from getting my AA, which is AWESOME!!!!!  I'm planning on doing dual enrollment so that I can not only get a head start on my BA, but this way I only have to take one math class instead of three.  Which is an absolute win for this dyscalculia sufferer.

I will get more fun and creative writing up here soon, I promise.  Thanks so much for being here!

Oh, lovely vacation!

I passed both of my classes!  I feel amazing, and I'm insanely stoked for this vacation.  I start classes again in September, and this vacation is going to be spent looking for an apartment and cleaning/sorting/packing through EVERYTHING (and goodness me, there is a lot...).  For fun, I've been imagining how I'm going to decorate my new pad.  I've never actually had a place that I could turn into my own, and this experience is exciting for me!

Here are some of the things I've fallen for:

Curtains & Rugs - Lively Room Curtain

I found this curtain at ModCloth, and I love it.  I think the vibrant colors would look amazing and would add some life to a small living room.

Clocks - The Time Traveler of My Life Clock

Another ModCloth find (be ready for a lot of those)!  I have a weird obsession with time.  I don't like not knowing what time it is, and having something like this on my nightstand would be perfect.

Kitchen & Dining - Toadstool for School Tea Towel

Growing up, I used to have a book all about the flora and fauna of Florida.  I loved it.  I was obsessed with that book, and since then, I've always enjoyed items that teach me about wildlife, including dish towels.

I'm excited for the opportunity to move into my own place.  It has been a long time coming, and as hard as it is going to be, I think I'm ready.  If any of you have any decorating tips for small apartments, please comment below!

I will be posting a book review sometime in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled for that.  :)  Thank you so much for your time!

Well, hello!

Hello, everyone!

The point of this blog is to really just get everything out of my head.  My life has been a little on the crazy side the past couple of weeks, and I feel as though I can't really think.  Its interesting to me that one person can have so many different sides to their thoughts, all yelling at the same time.  It is noisy, and makes thinking difficult.

First things first, I guess.  My name is Jenny, and I'm a mom of two glorious kids, a full time college student, and a writing consultant.  Making the decision to go back to school really opened up different experiences and opportunities for me!  Granted, getting my degree has taken a little longer than planned (getting pregnant will do that), but I'm SO close, and proud that I've been able to go as far as I have.  I also found a job that I adore.  Legitimately adore.  I've always been one to kind of bounce from job to job (and, honestly, relationship to relationship... another story for another time), and it has been difficult to find my focus, but I feel as though I've found it with this job.  The friends I've made from working here are like no other friends I've had, and I'm eternally grateful for each of them.

One friend in particular has helped give me the strength to make MUCH needed changes in my life, and I'm already feeling as though I can breath a little easier.  Change can be terrifying, but oh so FANTASTIC!  I'm definitely looking forward to this new chapter!  I'm always going to be grateful for said friend, and I sincerely hope they will be in my life for a very long time.

I'll try to keep this as updated as I can with whatever randomness I come up with.  To new adventures!

(I'll also get the hang of the whole design and formatting at a later date.  For now lets focus on the content!)
